Jumping gas prices soared recently with the death of the Saudi King. His son really took jabs at America's fixation with Iraq by upping the price of crude oil. Not directly conspiracy, but cause and effect.

Now with the hurricane, the oil refineries on the coastline are being shut down, and that will naturally start the prices fluctuating, but they will be able to level out. Will they? Given W's reign of terror, probably not.
