Yesterday, was my Live Journal anniversary and I completely missed it! So, I'm having it today.

Happy Live Journal Anniversary to me!

These are great! I loved little Sam's complete (and utterly sensible) lack of understanding, and little Pippin's blithe certainty. Two great new additions to GWs Stories of Small Hobbits!

Happy Anniversary! (I know I'm late, LJ would not allow me into your cut when I first saw it!) You are only a few months "older" than me LJ-wise! Both of us in 2004!

It really WAS a terrific year, wasn't it?

And I adore your fish bowl stories. So, I'm guessing fish bowls must be a Buckland thing, since Pippin's a Took and doesn't seem to know you don't need to bathe fish, and since Sam sees no point in a fish bowl. (I loved his comment about whether the fish tasted better!)

I always thought the point was to raise your own bait. That was the name of the goldfish we still had in 2004: Bait. He got quite large as he was about five years old (rather elderly for a fish, I think), and we debated changing his name to Dinner. However, 2004 was not a good year for poor Bait, as the power went out when Marigold and I evacuated for Hurricane Hugo. We came home to find the poor guy belly up.

So, I guess I should say 2004 was a really terrific year unless you were a goldfish named Bait.

LJ is a strange beast these days so I'm not surprised that you couldn't get in before. I had one evening when I could read any post I wanted to read but not the comments and I couldn't comment myself. It was very annoying because I would read this I wanted to reply to and not be able to. It was the LJ version of being mute I guess ( ... )
