Hi, forgive me if I'm commenting here, but I can't send you a message or so; I wanted to ask if you're game in participating in the readnigs again. We're just having the sign-ups for Book III, Chapter XI, "The Palantir", and are also doing a special reading for the International Tolkien Reading day. It would be awesome to have you again! :o)
I would love to but I'm having some computer issues. A lot of the time, I have to post from my phone or my IPad. I am in need of a new router but haven't purchased it yet. The LJ app for the IPad and for the IPhone won't take a Voice Post so you kind of wind up posting without hearing how it turned out. Maybe I will be able to participate next chapter. Thank you for asking me though.
Oh dear, computer woes are always frustrating! But it's lovely to hear that it's just technical issues keeping you back.
I'm currently working at/researching solutions for backup/permanent storage for the readings, since particularly the voice posts are lost when somebody closes her/his journal, and also for a new member who does recording by mic but doesn't have storage space. So I'm just having this idea: if it is possible to get a recording done on the phone as an attachment to an email, it would be possible to send such a recording to me, and I could convert it and put it up on the storage space. Do you happen to know if you can "mail" a sound recording from your phone? I'm having an android but only so recently that I have no idea yet how everything works (my first smartphone, too), except that the recording is possible.
