Placebo @ Ice Hall, Helsinki, Finland 15.11.2009

Aug 13, 2009 17:53

I've been awake now for 30 hours straight. Yes, it's nothing new about me avoiding sleeping for long periods of time, but for once I had a good and valid reason for it; 11th day Placebo announced on their site that November 15th they'll be doing a gig here in Finland and that Pre-Sale would start today, the 13th, at 10.00 a.m. So, because I never go to sleep before 4.00 a.m., the only option was to stay up all night and wait for the clock to strike ten (if I had gone to bed at four, I would've never been able to get myself up that early).

My hands were shaking and my head was all blurry and I was five minutes away from hyperventilating, it was so fuckin' nerve wracking once the Pre-Sale site started working. I'd been reloading the site for fifteen minutes, then suddenly the sale starts and momentarily I get all confused about what button I'm supposed to click. Once I managed to get two tickets from the floor (standing places, HELL FUCKIN' YEAH!) the page didn't accept my account information for logging-in and then I really started fumbling, trying to think what to do, what to do?! Eventually I had to fill up the whole account information again, address and phone and everything, and I was in just a hurry that it was a good thing my big sister came to stare over my shoulder what the hell I was doing on the computer making such pained noises. I don't know where I'd might addressed the tickets to go if she hadn't been there spell-checking *shudders*

I managed to purchase the tickets and then it was quickly going for a smoke and calling my gig-buddy Roope, "OHMYGOD,I.GOT.THEM,TWO.TICKETS.FOR.THE.FLOOR,I'M.DYING". I don't really think he understood a word I said, my voice was shaking so much and my hands were still trembling (I'm blaming part of that for the freakishly huge amount of cigarettes, seven cups of coffee and the one cup of tea that I enjoyed during the night).

And this is a big thing for me. I saw Placebo for the first time in 2007, and me and my friend got the shittiest seating places ever. Second time was this year in June at Provinssirock (three days ticket, and the whole point was to go and see Placebo), and even though it was fucking amazing, it still was a short festival-gig. And now, finally I get to see them play their very own big show, and with the opportunity to see it from the best possible audience places.

Life is good. This whole year is fucking amazing; new CD and TWO gigs from Placebo and a new CD from AFI in September. I think my head might explode if AFI came to Finland to play a show (I'm still hoping that they would, though, what with them never playing in here before and all that)

I might be one totally weird fangirl, but at the moment I'm also a ridiculously happy one.
