I see Google Streetview has gone live today. Like (I suspect) most people interested in tech, I have spent the day looking up all the old places I used to live etc. I was most impressed to hear that one of my mates looked up his flat, and found that the picture showed not just the flat, but him standing in the doorway to it

I admit I looked up my old house in Cardiff only to find out that Google misnamed the street and now everyone has wheelie bins. I feel like sending them a letter to ask if they could trim the hedge too.

Oddly, the street we live on now is misnamed. I think Google must get the names from elsewhere though, as it appears to be misnamed on all the in-car GPS systems out there, which makes getting deliveries an absolute bitch.

Hell yeah. I recommend you try and come up with a more interesting story than "two people took their baby to the hospital for a checkup, and everything was fine" though ;-)
