i may be migrating over to greybird.wordpress.com.  there is a simple way to transfer all the livejournal mess to their site. plus, their user interface is cleaner and everything is pretty much add-free.  want to join me?
i've had this journal since sophomore year in high school.  as i was uploading my entries, i watched the terribly embarrassing

the "simple" may be more wishful thinking... but it went off without a hitch for me. Do you have a way you back up your entries in hard copy? You should... with all those pretty words. Here is the list chirplet sent about backups: http://brown-betty.livejournal.com/284083.html

I use LJ-Archive. Any backup service that can create an XML document out of your entries will do. Next, you import the XML into WordPress. Presto-chango!

i can get xml from livejournal at the very least. lj-archive wouldn't work for me-- mac user at home.
