I don’t often write about my biologist self - the one who is currently sitting in a white lab coat, waiting for some nematode worms with Alzheimer’s to sink to the bottom of the tube. I will most likely end up with alzheimer's. There are cases of it on both sides of my family. Maybe your worms will someday save my brain. Do you get paid for this lab work? I would like to get paid for lab work. It would beat the job I am currently doing--helping an elderly gentleman. I got a message on my answering machine today telling me I won't be paid for the 14 hours of work I have done so far:) I would quit but I probably wouldn't find another job. (but if I don't get paid, what's the difference?) I should just have my breakdown already so the state pays for me.
