Mmmmm. Macaroni and cheese! Sounds yummy. :)

Hm. Holiday traditions for me just include dinner with my mom, my two younger sisters, and my grandparents at their apartment. Now that I have John in my life, we go to his family's house in the evening for dessert and drinks. :) This happens for Christmas and Thanksgiving.

Our holiday traditions-

the advent calendar
lessons and carols
slovak walnut roll
homemade chex mix with the recipe my mother used to use
the insane mountain-dew-colored tinsel tree
christmas morning, the quiet, early service, followed by thai food and a movie

I think our rhythm is going to change a lot this year- I'll have two services on Thanksgiving and two on Christmas Day, plus two on Christmas Eve.

Hooray for movies on Christmas! We try to watch a kung-fu movie on Christmas, if we can.

Our other holiday traditions include: decorating a tree (we're going for the crazy fake tinsel kind this year!), lighting a menorah, our traditional foods (candy canes, latkes, fruitcake & hotdogs are the big four), stockings for each other. I would really like to make a gingerbread house as well, but that hasn't happened yet.

We bake A LOT during the holidays, try to every year at least.
We also go out for Thai food & a movie every Christmas, since our family is so far: a strange tradition, but a real one.

Dave, what about cheese balls?

Oh, yes- the cheese balls.

I think this is going to be reinforced by our new parish's custom of raising money for missions by making and selling, yes, cheese balls!! Whee!

Also, Christopher's Fruit Jellies, so fantastic.
