I am pathetic

Really, I am pathetic. There is yet another "Good Fan Fiction" post on fireflyfans.net, with only five reponses so far and I am all :-( because I am not mentioned. And I know I won't be. And I don't really expect to be. But still, I am pathetically :-(. Mostly because I am horribly judgemental and going, "so-and-so? Pssh. Yeah, they write a lot but ( Read more... )

Not even going to touch on all the education stuff, because SCARY!

But don't be sad if you don't get mentioned in that thread. You write a MUCH more in-character Inara, among other things than certain people mentioned in that thread who have written quantity over quality.

In fact, since those people are apparently the standard, be proud you're not lumped in with them!

Being horribly judgmental is fun! *g*

I completely second agent_rouka here. Your writing is fabulous, and everyone on LJ knows it!

I went and looked at the thread, and really, it looks like a lot of mutual back-patting, if you ask me.

Like you, I barely go to fff.net anymore. Once I found the LJ comms, and the people here, I didn't really look back.

As for the school stuff, darlin'... well, you could look at it like, at least you've got a year to get used to the idea! *huggles* I hope it all works out to your liking!!

Hehe, yeah, lots of mutual backpatting indeed. But, as I said, I'm *petty*. :-)

School stuff... yeah. I am done freaking out for now. It will have to work out because it just will. Now there is logic for you.

Nah, you're not petty. There was a 'the best Mal/Inara' thread a long while ago that I wasn't on, and I felt just the same way and spent the day pouting. *shrug*

I just can't get into that board anymore. I don't know what it is. Maybe that it's predominantly Simon/Kaylee?? (or at least, it reeeeeallllly seems that way to me) or maybe it's simply that I've found the writing and comments from people in LJ to be more intelligent (or maybe just more in line with my own thinking, which *could* be the same thing ;o)

Anyway, you be all petty today as much as you like darlin'. Then tomorrow, you write a nice Mal/Inara piece that will knock our socks off again *nods* :oD

And, I like your kind of logic ;o) sounds good to me! *hugs*

Awww, wouldn't worry about being reced, darling! *huggles*

I think there does tend to be some back-patting at the BSR, and, anyway, I'm not a huge fan of most of the people they're recing, so... I wouldn't exactly take it as a decisive mark of quality!

Oh, its not... at all. It was just such a silly thing to be bothered about that I had to post. My own emotions often amuse me. :-)

1. You write awesome fanfiction, and you know how I feel about fanfiction.
2. That's awesome that you might get out of here on time! And I have no idea if it's only offered in the summer...DUSTIN told me that. Talk about an unreliable narrator. ;)
3. Everything shall work out, and if I have to wait 3 months longer than you to get to LA, you can bet 3 months later I'll be there, leeching off your contacts and eating your veggie-friendly food. (Read: candy)
4. Uh, there was no reason to make this into numbered points. I just do that.

1. I do. :-)
2. Oh, Dustin...
3. Candy really is the only veggie friendly food. Then again, I will be in LA. Maybe it will hippify me? Nah. They have all those commercials about California cows... I am gonna get me some California steak!
4. Numbers are fun.
