I can't say I'm amazed at how some people are responding to Mangione, no matter that I find it abhorrent. I've always had health insurance, having worked and retired from a company with a strong union. But I've known people who either don't have insurance, or don't have enough. Who have to chose between medication and food. It's a really screwed system we have. What gets me is that, instead of responding to why people are thinking the way they're thinking, the Powers That Be are threatening them.
