I tried to send this as a message, but it bounced.

"Tor released free pdfs of Orphans of Chaos a while back, and I read it then. I was horrified to realize that it was borderline-pedophilia with entire chapters of eroticized bondage, but I figured you were just a sexual deviant struggling with your own desires. But now I see that you are a Good Christian Man! Did you write OoC back when you were godless, or...? I'm confused."

I wrote it when I was an atheist. At the time, I saw nothing wrong with it. That opinion has been (how to put it delicately?) revisited in the light of later events.

Sexual deviant? That is not for me to say: but I notice they put it on the bookshelves next to Susan Wright, who writes space bondage fiction. Coincidence? I think not.
