An Example of OCD

Jul 07, 2010 22:19

I frequently joke about being OCD. I believe everyone is actually to some degree, it's all a matter of degree. And after catching a few episodes of Hoarders (and that other show focusing specifically on OCD, Obsession? Compulsion? by Calvin Klein?), I'm happy to say I'm in no way a dysfunctional OCD type. But sometimes it really shines through.

Take a trip down the rabbit hole )

Wow. If itunes (after ripping the music in some degraded way) doesn't figure out the metadata for me, I just type in the artist's initials, and name every song the initials plus a number. I type some similar code for the album title. Nobody but me will ever enjoy my music, damnit.

I totally understand. I have over 500 cd's as well, and I hate hate hate that they are currently in boxes and not alphabetized so I can see them. I'm also in the process of saving them to a hard drive so they're more accessible. BTW, allmusic.com is a good resource for finding correct titles and other info. :)
