our house interweb is down, and my computer's connection has been fickle at best these last few days. so i have not been checking my email. or my lj. or much of anything else.

and now i am at penn. at a fast computer. with working interweb. i am happy, but also confused. when did i become so addicted to zeroes and ones?

ah, such sexy zeroes and ones...
they're alluring.

Poor Jason, he sent me a frazzled e-mail. Sounds like he's got a headache from it already.

proximity to too many geeks exacerbates a genetic predisposition to want large amounts of information literally at your fingertips in seconds.
Happens to the best of us, even the luddites. =)

Funny, i find proximity to computer geeks has exactly the opposite affect on me: it all becomes Someone Else's Problem, and i can move on to Having a Beer and Not Worrying.

::grin:: ry, you should see the note jason left for us all this morning. he's so apologetic, as well as frazzled. i feel a need to tell him that it really doesn't matter, as far as our feelings about him go, but i don't think he'll believe me.

maybe i'll just slip him some more chocolate.

I was frazzled. I feel like I've let people down, since I felt like it was my responsibility to maintain and secure things. And interruptions in my own work to deal with unexpected problems haven't made me happy. But chocolate always makes me happy.

dude, i've let the hole in the kitchen wall go until the next wall mildewed. and no one's disowned me.

i'll pick you up some chocolate later.

i meant to point out that i could easily match my guilt up against yours. badger house now has two integrity breaches: one physical, one cyber. at least you could prevent further damage on your end.
