I'm going to see the band KMFDM (with Angelspit) on thursday and i'm quite excited. I'm not a OMG fan of KMFDM. I enjoy alot of their music but i'm not a hardcore hardcore fan. Do you use the micro mode much? I see the newer lens can focus up to 5cm without a special mode, just 2cm further than the 3cm close distance of the older lens.

not too too much but the lens would have been used for the old minolta 35mm camera (instead of the gigantic and heavy minolta 28-135mm lens)since i will be shooting both digital and non-digital for my photo class. But after the class it'd probably be put to use with the DSLR (since we have filters to fit the lens size). But i just found out there are two models of the lens that was shipped to me. One has the micro setting and the other does not. So even if it wasn't the exact model my dad had i would have been content with the model with the macro setting.
