Maybe I got fired from a school that is seriously going to fail next year... But I still found out last Friday that my contract is not being renewed. More specifically, the band program is not being renewed due to space and time concerns. It saddens me that I was so supportive of the two new co-principals, and that ended up leading to my new job

But they are cutting the whole program. You could have been the awesomest ever--and were probably close--and would still have not gotten renewed.

This will be a good opportunity! You can take everything you learned and start fresh.

I heard that I think Darien, CT is looking for a band director, and there's a part-time band director job opening up on Port Chester. If you want more on the CT one, I'll ask the guy that told me about it.
