I decided to create a Simblr.

After consideration (I'm used to posting everything here), I decided to compile my building and neighborhood-related projects there.  This coincides beautifully with the fact that I'm starting over from scratch.  I extracted all my Sims and I'm rebuilding their town and lives entirely to match the ( Read more... )

I don't actually have any pictures up right now, that's why they're not showing up. I had to order SimCity4 so it'll probably be another week before I can start working on my neighborhood terrains. But when they're done and decorated I'll start with the pictures!

Wooooo! :D My simblr is here; I also use the same icon there that's my current default here. I'm not sure if you'd want to follow me or not, since I mostly post TS3 things, but anyway, I followed you and can't wait to see how your projects develop. :)

Of course I will! :D I love Sims 3 things, too, but I'm just more comfortable with TS2 for myself. :)

Neighbourhood building with history making sense of it? :D I am totally following you. Except I don't have a tumblr so I will just subscribe to the RSS feed.
For a while now I've had this grand plan of building a 'hood from scratch, from the moment of foundation, and letting it develop over the generations. Sort of a BACC but historically more realistic, factoring in all kinds of factors that influence what the place will be like. Your posts over there are really inspiring.

(...) the area of the northern United States serves only as inspiration for Port Charlotte’s location. Therefore, the city is not bound by real geographic or demographic limitations.

Clever! I had been wondering how to handle the discrepancy between real history and what can happen in a Sims game. Your solution makes sense.
Are you planning on letting the established areas develop further into things your Sims currently dare not dream of?
