If Shonda gives us something even remotely this sweet and beautiful, I'll be beyond happy. Meredith's labor and birth were so realistic. I actually got tears in my eyes reading Caroline's arrival, and then again when Zola met her for the first time. I've had a hunch MerDer are having a boy, but after the whole sister theme you did with Zola/Caroline and Mer/Lexie, I would love to see Grey's do the same. Seeing the new family of four makes me even more excited for Meredith to have the baby now. I got so giddy just reading this! Every word was perfect, honestly. :'')

Yay! I'm so excited for tonight and to see what they're really having. I have a hunch that it's a boy too, but I felt like the sister theme was too good to pass up. And--sigh--even if it was a girl, I doubt they'd even try on the show anyway. I feel like the whole thing has been an afterthought up to this point.

Anyway, I'm so glad you enjoyed the chapter! It was an absolute pleasure to write, and I really appreciate you taking the time to comment.

I wish it was a girl on the show. I wanted a Caroline. If they don't find a way to honor Lexie in this Imma cut someone.

I kinda wanted a girl too, but I was pretty sure from the beginning--for whatever reason--that it was going to be a boy. So I wrote for a baby girl so at least I'd have that.

I'm really hopeful that they'll at least TRY to do something to tell us more about Derek though, especially his dad! The father/son dynamic needs to play out that way in my opinion.
