Well, we made the trip to and from El Paso with little difficulty. Found we liked traveling on US Highways instead of Interstates for two reasons: 1) fewer trucks blowing us off the road and 2) what a great way to see the country ( Read more... )

That's a mighty long trip. Glad you made it OK.

Good luck with the move and getting back online.

yes, it was a long trip.

Looks like the move is temporarily pushed back. The buyer cancelled the contract today.

Oh well.

I didn't think they even made bias ply tires anymore.. strange indeed.

To bad about the canceled contract I hope you got to keep their deposit at least.

Looks like we are about three weeks away from listing our shack but we are not in a hurry to sell so we will most likely ask to much at first with out a realtor (I'll sell it and save the fees I hope) After a month or 2 we will go with the realtor and a lower more marketable price. HEY can't blame a guy for trying it on his own. I just wish it was a year ago when you could list yer house for $50 grand to much and still get a bidding war on it. Now we will be lucky to see offers at $50 grand under asking.. and so it goes eh..

Cheers,
Dave

No, here in MD the deposit is refundable when the buyer pulls out. All the real estate law is in the buyer's favor. The theory is the deposit just gets the buyer more dedicated to purchasing. It sucks. I like the old days better.

Go for it. You're shack is pretty marketable I'm guessing from the pics I've seen.
