Well, it looks like we won't be moving soon after all. The buyer cancelled the contract via voice mail today with the real estate agent. Of course that's not really a cancellation because it's not in writing which means we can't get the house back on the multiple listing service until the buyer does what he's supposed to do ( Read more... )

Actually, today I worked on the basement. I had covered up a heating/AC vent with a dropped ceiling and that was one of the issues. So I put the vent through the ceiling today. Of course that took a trip to Lowe's.

We also bought a new stove. We were going to give the buyer a credit to get the stove they wanted, but that didn't work out so we got a moderately priced one from Lowes. After they finished putting the add-ons/installation cost to it, it was a bit more than I wanted to pay, but Katie likes it.

I'll be interested to see what the installers do besides just attaching it. Our LP gas setup was installed 20 years ago, so it may be exciting dealing with them. Oh joy!

yeah, but I don't have much yard! LOL

Anyway, we have pretty much declutted everything. After we got back we did another "purge" of the house and got rid of stuff I'd like to have now. I guess that's the way the cookie crumbles.

PREGNANT!.. Heck you would think this guy needs a bigger house to go with his big sex drive.. HELLO at 46 you would have thought one of them would have got fixed by now.. Imagine dealing with teen angst when yer 59 to 67 when you should be fishin er summtin fun. Dumb ass!

Dumb ass indeed. I just can't imagine. That's the age when grandparents like to spoil their adolescent grandkids then send them home. I hope they enjoy it. They certainly didn't deserve to have our house! LOL

Perhaps she is not pregnant from him. Ahem.... That could lead to some life altering decisions.
I believe that some things happen for a reason and perhaps this is not your time to leave just yet.

Hiya Robbo!

Well, it would serve him right. Naw, I wouldn't wish that on anyone. It's pleasure enough to know he'll have a teenager when he's in his late 60s. We found out that they've done this same thing 5 times, so we think they're just wackko.

I can't enjoy it here. It's not home anymore. I just fix (or break) stuff every day. Today I put a door to the attic because it had always been just a piece of drywall held up by moulding and inspectors want in. That did go well. We had a chimney inspection door that was rusted shut and I tried to get it open only to break off the piece that hooks it closed. It's just pig metal, but I'm trying epoxy on it. Lowe's didn't have the doors in stock, so I guess I'll have to try the hardware because I know that epoxy fix is only temporary.

So, tomorrow I'm going camping and get away from here.
