I thought it was a really good episode. At first, I couldn't understand why they weren't showing arizona, I didn't understand that she was at another hospital. Interesting that mere seems the least scarred from the experience, I have a feeling it will hit her at some point, she must be in denial, esp about lexie.
The scene with cristina in the tub was chilling and made me very glad we didn't have to see everything they went thru because just that glimpse was chilling enough.
Mark's death killed me WAY harder this time than last week, which I'm glad of. I felt it was a more proper goodbye than last week.
I don't know why, but I feel like everyone on here is always so quick to judge, and after last week's ep, a lot of people were upset, but I think if you waited until this week's ep, you really got everything you had been wanting. Which I think shonda is brilliant at - she doesn't give you what you expect, pretty much ever.
Oh I hope they keep the actor that plays Thatcher too busy on Scandal to come back to GA. Also mentioning Mer's dad just reminded me that there is another Grey sister out there. I wonder if she will be on at all. I can see her being a nurse or something like that (this is just me speculating)
I'm happy about Callie too :) But this is Derek "high standards/everything is black and white" that we are talking about. Maybe he can go join Arizona in the bedroom and commiserate. Then they can also tag team yelling/blaming Callie for everything.
And how cute was Smash (do we know his character's name yet?) telling Derek all about the surgery?
Good point, the other Grey might be the trigger; assuming Thatcher's still a drunken mess, the other sister (Emily?) only really had Lexie, since their mom already died.
I SO agree. I didn't have the highest hopes for the episode, just because I'm not crazy about flashbacks when we already have a pretty good idea what happened, but I liked it a LOT more than I expected to, and she was the main reason why. I think that scene with her in the bathtub was BY FAR her best work on the series, and that's saying something when she's been my favourite from day one. Now she just needs to come back and be with Owen, and I'll be okay.
I'm still not satisfied with the whole Mark/Lexie thing, but I was glad to see him one more time.
I agree about Arizona. Yet I guess that is why I've had a hard time trying to like this character since she joined SGH. Where is the "good man in a storm?"
I think Meredith being mean is her way of dealing with everything and everyone since the crash. She can't control what happened to Mark and Lexie, she can't control the prognosis of Derek's hand, and she couldn't control Cristina leaving. However, she can take control of her interns.
