So in "Some Kind of Miracle" when Meredith is having her near death whatever, there's a scene where she's talking with Denny. Denny is telling her that this is the "big one" that her friends won't be able to survive, and he's telling her about all the deaths that her friends have had to deal with. He tells her that George's dad died, and Izzie lost him, and he tells her the story about Cristina's dad bleeding out in front of Cristina when she was nine. And then Denny says, "And Alex...." but Meredith cuts him off, and we don't ever hear what Denny was going to say about Alex.
It's pretty much been insinuated that Alex had some major crap happen to him at some point in his life, but we've never found out any details. I'm really hoping that we'll get more of Alex's backstory in season four, because I ended up really liking his character this season.
So my question is: what do you think happened to Alex? Who died? What crap has he had to deal with in the past?
