Okay, so for the last several days I've been reading the archives of the comic Real Life. It's drawn in Illustrator (I think the author said) and although it's usually in color, the backgrounds look a bit flat sometimes. Reptiles triumphant!
Today we processed and canned or froze over sixty homegrown tomatoes! ...which took a while. Fortunately we didn't have to heat up the kitchen because my mom has put in a temporary outdoor kitchen in their patio, so we hauled all the stuff over there and cooked up a whole mess of spaghetti sauce and canned tomatoes on the porch. I started reading as soon as we got home from the bookstore, stopping only to get hot chocolate, tea and chocolate (totally a good idea and DAMN was it cold here last night!). I went to bed at 8:30 in the morning when I finally reached the epilogue, woke up at about 11:30 when Shel's parents called, and still finished the book within twelve hours ( Read more... ) -

HP V movie
Saw the movie yesterday afternoon with my mom. Had a lot of fun laughing at all the wrong moments. You want my opinion, they cut the whole book out, leaving the spine, changed everything that didn't fit smoothly or that they thought would look better different or, in fact, that they felt like changing, and made the rest into a fairly decent movie ( Read more... ) -
