I just called the Juror Information number and found out I DO HAVE TO REPORT!
Damn! I really wanted to have a day off for the first time. All 8 times, I have had to go in.
neeceemouse was able to get hers postponed to later (December). She explained that they wanted her to go in on her only holiday until the big ones - Columbus Day. And it was a day off ( Read more... )

Dude, I'm really sorry to hear that. Blargh. :( Try taking some Airborne before you go, lots of vitamins and stuff. For Alex and I at least, it's worked WONDERS when we started to feel crappy. Good luck about getting off early!

We've tried the DE and Midnite so far. The DE is a little light of a roast for both of us. We tend to like dark and acidic. Any suggestions on brewing medium as opposed to dark roasts? We used a French press but perhaps a longer steeping time? The Midnite I know came from the same roast as T's but for some reason it also seems a bit lighter than I remember. Suggestions there would be appreciated as well though my fiance did the brew and I usually do it far, far better because of my coffee adoration. I'll do the next and let you know. :) Thanks SOOO much again!!!

About Jury - I had to sit there until 100 before being released. No serve.
About Airbourne - can't use it. It contains artificial sweeteners that I am very allergic to. Would be nice to find something that worked that didn't have such poisons. I wound up taking a pack of Halls.

About the Coffee -
First is a question of what tempature you brew at. Ideal is 195-200F
Otherwise to adjust from where you normally brew -
for darker feel/stronger roast from the same bean --
either grind the raost finer and keep the time the same,
or steep longer (general French Press steep time is 5 minutes, an increase of 1-2 minutes should produce the effect desired.)
Combining the two changes would work also, but might overshoot target.
.
I have a new dark with a little bonus in it to send (free) to get comments on.

I actually normally just use my drip brewer to heat the water, then pour over fresh grounds in the French Press, stir them, then let steep. I love to steep at about seven minutes personally, and that's for darker blends, heh. I'll try varying the steeping time but any recommendations on how to change the water temp? How do you brew your water, kettle?
