Last night Mel and I went out to Borders to look for a few books, and to redeem her free dessert coupon they sent her for her birthday. While we were there, a teen girl was having a conversation on her cell phone as she wandered the store. It was very annoying. Not because she was talking loudly, or because of the topic she was discussing, but

Don't feel bad. I could be a professional eavesdropper. I often completely tune out people I'm talking to, in favor of listening in on some juicy conversation happening elsewhere.
I'll take entertainment however I can get it.

I try to avoid it. Plus there are rarely any good conversations to listen to ;)

Ha ha--if I were there, I probably would've followed her, pretending to look at various aisles while listening intently. Those sorts of people are so into themselves, they wouldn't know what's going on anyway. Cell phone conversations usually aren't my thing, though, so I try to block out the idiots who are bellowing into the phone, unless it's something good like that.

I thought about it, but she was kinda running through the entire store. Maybe she just wanted everyone to hear how unhappy she was about the stories going around about her.
