Who: Ram, gridbugs, anyone (open)
Where: edges of the Outlands
What: action, probably
He hadn't expected trouble this close to the City. It wasn't unheard of for the diagnostic routines to put off clearing these areas, out here where whole sectors had been left deserted in the wake of Clu's 'initiative' and fragmentation had eaten away vast layers of the infrastructure, but a swarm this size so close to the City was not a good sign. Perhaps the bugs were changing too, given the Grid's altered conditions.
This just wasn't the best time or method of studying them objectively.
Ram lanced his disk through the segmented arm of the bug closest to his vantage point, and then took advantage of the moment where the threat wasn't immediate to throw it through one of the creatures further away. He tried to tell himself that there weren't that many bugs, and that they were so easily distracted (mainly by the attraction of assimilating each others' severed limbs) that he could clean up this mess by himself, but one of the downsides to being an actuarial program was that you couldn't fool yourself with statistics.
Some backup would sure be nice.
Another cluster of bugs peered over the foundation of a broken building nearby. Ram rolled his eyes and climbed higher on the fragmented frame he'd taken refuge in.
"You guys really think this is a good idea? All right. Come 'n get it."
[[Here, everyone, have an action post. Feel free to jump in! ..and if I'm slow tagging back for a day or so, forgive me; rl's got me again but I will be around.~]]
