Who: Zack, OPEN
Where: streets (outside Flynn's Arcade?)
When: current time?
What: Zack, a User, arrives on the Grid after searching forever for Flynn
Warnings: Keep it PG-13, guys.
Note: I'm still a little shaky when exactly in the canon timeline that I want to take the guy from. But consider it at least after Flynn Lives is created. Because...just because. :3
Zack closed his eyes as he waited for the disorientation to pass. He wasn't entirely sure what he had just done to himself but the computer had felt it appropriate to pay him back for the mistake with a burst of light and a feeling of vertigo, unfortunately, accompanied the occurrence for whatever reason he couldn't fathom. He waited a moment as the feeling cleared then lifted his glasses so he could rub at his eyes.
When he opened them, he discovered he wasn't sitting at his desk anymore.
Startled, he began to panic a little. But panicking wasn't going to get him anywhere and neither was standing around gawking at his new surroundings. Oh, but the sights... He had never imagined anything like this in his entire life and he briefly wondered if he'd fallen asleep playing a video game but no that couldn't be it. He didn't remember leaving the computer and he didn't remember putting on a game and he certainly couldn't remember buying (or attempting to write) a game like this. This...reminded him of Flynn. Of Encom's old games, somehow. It seemed as bright and vivid as those worlds that the creative mind behind Space Paranoids and Light Cycles programmed so long ago.
Maybe this was a dream.
He snapped his mouth shut and looked back down at the immediate city surroundings around him. It was all wondrous and different, but at least it had a touch of familiarity to it, too. Now if he just had a map of this strange, glowing city...that would be wonderful.
