Public announcement: Gridbugs! [OPEN LOG]
[On public video screens across the city, a feed of Tron suddenly appears. He seems agitated, but is putting on a calm facade for the masses. His helmet folds back over his head as he speaks.]
I do not wish to alarm anyone, but I must inform you that there has been an outbreak of Gridbugs throughout the city. If you find yourself trapped by a swarm, try to remain calm. They are vulnerable to discs, and they will not usually attack programs. They prefer to take down structures, so be cautious if you find yourself in the area where a swarm is derezzing a building. Contact me if you are in danger.
Do not panic, and do not attempt to confront the bugs yourself. I will deal with this issue. Thank you for your attention.
[The video cuts out abruptly as Tron re-rezzes his helmet and turns quickly off-screen.]

Tron knew he risked causing a panic, but he had to warn the population. The Gridbugs were coming in swarms unseen since the time before Clu's takeover, and he suspected it had something to do with the chaos of the Portal. All he could do was try to control the situation as it arose, and try to keep the rest of the programs out of danger.
As he drew his discs, he felt a strange thrill and a sense of satisfaction. This was what he knew... protecting the Grid against the dangers from within, as Flynn had brought him in to do.
