I think I'm going to scrap text messenging on my phone... It's the biggest ripoff that we've seen from the phone industry in years. I consider it worse that the ringtone BS they pull (have you ever thought that you pay $2-3 for a ringtone that's less than 30secs long, yet pay $.99 for the full song on iTunes or nothing at all courtesy of my pirate ( Read more... )

Only thing I know about is that LG Voyager, but you couldn't pay me to use one. The clones will continue to be clones, and that's all... Think it does have a fold out keyboard/screen, but that adds extra unneeded thickness.

Texting has always been a lame excuse not to pickup your phone and call somebody. I know that if you don't pay for SMS, you can still email people at their text messaging email address and they'll get it. No idea if they can reply.

Everyone needs to get a smartphone, then jump on Twitter/Pownce and save yourself the text messenging money.
