I'm so f'ing tired of all this music I've been listening to (granted I have things I could listen to forever, and I've been listening to and watching a bunch of netcasts that I subscribed to) that I'm actually listening to Eve 6 right now. Yea, it's bad. I liked them at one point, but I don't know ( Read more... )

Well when you get yourself a new system, you can start playing WoW... Or you could get Fallout 3 or something.

What do you usually listen to? I might be able to bring in a few albums.

I couldn't even tell you. I go through phases. I used to consistently listen to a lot of the Ataris, Goldfinger, NFG, Fall Out Boy, Cartel, Panic, Motion City, Spitalfield, RBF... I dove into some Paramore recently, and honestly couldn't get enough of it. Hard to say. I've been going back to my roots lately with some SoaD, Staind (I can't tell you why, but I've dug everything I've heard from Aaron Lewis), Incubus (not that new shit)... No idea...

A lot of it comes with being too lazy to actively search for new stuff.

Haha, so we have very little musical overlap. :P

When you say "Panic", I think "Widespread" ... judging from the context, I'm guessing that you meant "at the Disco". Amirite?

I have one Goldfinger album (Hang-Ups) and haven't like anything Staind has done since "Outside" (which was completely ruined by Fred Durst). I still listen to Dysfunction sometimes, but I can't force myself to listen to anything else. I like SoaD, but Serj gets on my nerves after a while. The stuff he did with Buckethead was pretty killer, though.

I'll troll through my iTunes library (8600+ songs, 99% of which ripped from my own CDs) and see if I can't dig out a few gems for you.

O God. If 'Panic' ever meant that jamband crap that is 'Widespread Panic', shoot me, shoot me at that instance, and put me out of my f'ing misery. Same goes for Pink Floyd.

Like I mention below, my mood for music has gone back and forth between the genres... If it's good, it's good. That's all I can say.

I really like Muse, but haven't quite found the songs/albums that I remember listening to in the past. I totally think Radiohead is crap; they're a bit too pretentious for me... The Mars Volta isn't bad, but I really can't say I've listened to a lot from them. I mean my musical interested span the globe. I could be listening to some Deathcab like I am now, then listening to some Factory 81 or Taproot or Hed P.E. and then (rock) some Les Miserables or that new Beyonce song that doesn't sound like Beyonce so I had to admit that I actually liked it when I heard it on the radio, and then end my day with some Busdriver... I find myself listening to chill music (Muse, Massive Attack, Tricky, even this Deathcab) when I have an idea running and I want to design or code something. I swear that TripHop got me through my college programming classes. Nothing wrong with Metal, but specific Metal appeals to me and it's hard to explain ( ... )
