Wow. Urban Spoon (www.urbanspoon.com) is kinda getting Huntsville stuff going... Been watching it over the last few months (since the iPhone app came out for us), and they've got a pretty good list of restaurants going

Dude. I'm not sure where you've been getting your Greek on lately, but Tazeki's is f'ing terrible. LOL. The tough ass lamb and runny tzatziki made me actually miss gas station gyros.

I think I've fired off my list before, but Blue Plate is up close to the top of the list. I've been on a Schlotzsky's lunch kick lately. No idea what Sam and Greg's is... Unfortunately, we have a birthday lunch for somebody at work on Friday, and it's gonna be at Rosie's. Joy.

Which Gibson's? There's one close to the end of Whitesburg (almost to the parkway), and it's awful. I still digg the one @ Jordan/Bob Wallace.

Yea... I'll definitely have to look into that... We're not downtown that often, but I'd be game. Funny how V mentioned Feta cheese as something that people would scoff at, but Christine and I don't eat pizza if it doesn't have Feta or Goat Cheese on it. I'm waiting for the Mellow Mushroom to open up, and then we'll have a few extra choices for the weekends.

mmm...food. Huntsville food is coming around. But UrbanSpoon just shows how the majority is still more interested in chains. I think over the years as my cooking skills have become better I've become a food snob. It pains me to eat mediocre food and then pay big for it

I'll probably reply to Kristi in a second, but I also don't understand the Edo thing. I haven't been to Mikawa since Philbo bolted, but the last time I went to Edo, it just didn't have any ground to stand on compared to Mikawa. I'm not big on sushi that is pseudo-blended with mayo or something. That was just weird. Nothing beats Chashu Ramen in Miso Broth. Yum.

I'm on the fence about 5guys too. The fries are only good if you get the seasoning on the side, and shake it up in a bag with the fries. Burgers aren't terrible, but they're overly expensive for what you get.

I mean it weirds me out that the Rosie's guy owns Blue Plate, and I could probably eat there every week if/when I get dragged there by work people (never a bad thing)... Like I told V, I'm going to Rosie's tomorrow for bday lunch! Ha. I knew the guy I work with would pick it

Heh. I would say that Schnitzel Ranch had the blandest gravy in town, based on the one time I ate there. That was close to when they opened, so maybe they've gotten better? But you should definitely try out other German places for their brown gravy. :)
