Was it the person-sized door to the garage or the car door?

I've seen cases where the person-sized door can contract/expand enough with temp changes to pop open if the latches aren't fully correct. I've got at least 3 doors in the house that need to be replaned / rehung due to poor alignment at build time. They haven't bothered me enough yet to warrant hiring a contractor.

If it was the actual car door... that's a very bold move for a burglar to take since they do not know how noisy it would be.

Sorry to hear about it... I prefer my approach... stay awake until 2 AM playing Techno music. :)

car door. the people door is locked and blocked by a bunch of crap.

I suspect I left it open all night long, which is the reason I'm concerned there might be something missing after seeing a flashlight.

What you need is an attack kitten... Unfortunately I don't have a spare one to loan you.

Scary. I got freaked a little last night because I woke up in the very early morning and noticed it seemed light outside. My bedroom curtain was pulled aside just a bit and I realized that it was one of the flood lights outside that was on. I know it wasn't on when I went to bed. We have two sets of flood lights, one set is automatic and the other has to be switched on, which we do when we take the dogs out. So I convinced myself that Erin must've left the light on after taking Jasper out after I went to bed. But when I got up this morning the light was off, which means it was the automatic one that only responds to motion. I'm hoping it was just the wind or something but it did make me a little uncomfortable.

I didn't see anything missing. And I told you not to go down with the gun. Boy would've told us if there was someone downstairs by crawling under the covers.

Also, I wonder if the "flashlight" was a reflection - of the humidifier light or a neighbor's light or something.

I am fully trusting my cats to tell me if someone is actually there because they would run and hide as well.
