Oh my god. So, so perfect and...yeah, that just about sums it up. Because Merlin going limp and faraway and Arthur being too angry to care and then saying sorry and Merlin crying...perfect.

I'm so glad you found this believable, that for me, is always the real struggle. On the show I get so fed up with Arthur's twatty behavior, that in this fic I just wanted to show that he is a complex character and him and Merlin do have a complex relationship. Plus he's been sooo mean so far in the new season, this type of story just seemed appropriate somehow, not that rape is ever really appropriate. Anyway, I so appreciate your comments and I am considering a sequel, though if possible I want it to be readable as a stand alone as well. Thanks again!

just like others, while I do admire the entire setup of the story, that leads arthur to this violent reaction / rape of merlin, I wish, there would be some kind of comfort sequel, coz as things are now, even though Arthur has apologized at the end, there is only hurt for merlin.

Thank you for your comments. I am considering a sequel, since there's been some interest. I kind of think the hurt etc. at the end just makes it more poignant, but I too hate our boys upset!!
