Last time I said I would tell ya'all about the bus trip from the "Twilight Zone". Well that's what my teammates called it anyway. Got off to a rocky start with the fact that we forgot a coach at the meeting area. Making a u-turn in a bus is not the easiest thing either. We got to Indianapolis just fine and slept in the hotel for a while. Got to the game, had the lousiest referees I have ever had in my lifetime of sports (and that's something coming from a former referee myself). Had three players injure their knees during the game, all of them tore their ACL muscles. One was taken to the hospital because of the severity of the injury. We went to the after party, and another teammate fainted and was taken to the hospital. So in all we were waiting about 2 hours a the hospital after we left the party. And while we are waiting at the hospital, everyone's bags are being searched for someone's missing playstation portable. This doesn't make anyone happy, especially the person who is missing it.
After we leave the hospital and get back on the road everything is fine until we reached Tomah, Wisconsin on I-90. There we get pulled over by the Wisconsin State Patrol. Was the bus driver speeding? No. The fuel line in the back of the bus had broken and we were spewing fuel all over the highway. So we ended up backing up on the freeway because we were just past an exit and sitting at a gas station waiting to see if our bus would be fixed. When the found out it couldn't be fixed, they finally called for a tow truck and a replacement bus. We ended up waiting at the gas station for about 2-3 hours. I finally got home around 5pm.
This past weekend we lost to Wisconsin 20-0. At least the team doesn't cheat and the referees were fair. Our offense just couldn't get it going. And we lost another running back to a torn ACL.
And since I have gotten back from Wisconsin, I have ended up working by myself at work. What the hell is wrong with you people to leave me by myself! It wouldn't be so bad if my days went quickly, but no, they have to go slow.
... I'd better go to bed now.
