FC2011 try number 1. Thurs Jan 13
Here goes actually trying to get a con report done. My memory after 2+ days is pretty crappy lately, hopefully twittering might help establish a timeline in the future. That is if I can txt in tweets on my phone and not have to use some sort of 'app for that'.
That being said, let's move on!
Thursday
Bree Arrived on Tuesday, and not much happened around the house after, really, except me getting everybody hooked on Studio 60, Pizza Tuesday, and us just sitting around yacking it up :)
Woke up slightly later than intended, but got everything packed up. Decided to leave the house at 1pm (well, it worked out that way) got to Knight Ridder parking garage at 1:30 just in time to see a whole lotta Prius's trying to leave, actually blocking some pinch points for through traffic.
Got into hotel close to 2, bumping into Kane and Yote one our way to find netolu, who was in reg-line. Apparantly room wouldn't be ready until ... 3 , as he was quoted (and that was with Pres Club), which that didn't really happen much either. By that time I was getting hungry, but didn't want to ruin lunch or anything, so managed to persuade his group to go over to the patisserie across the way. Btw, that place is a great place to have a cute li'l loli' dress meet up. Only difficulty is that you can't have too many there or else you wouldn't be able to fit into your dresses ;)
Anyhow, we didn't really get our room until 3:30 or 4. Net, Bree and I were rooming together, and we three, along with Leiro, went down to my car to grab things from it. Net wasn't going to unpack his car until the people he carpooled with got their room.
Between 4:30 to 6 after we claimed our spots in our room, I was walkin' around waiting for a StrRedwolf to arrive from the airport, deposit stuff, and then head out to find a local piercing parlor that I trust (they did my PA ring Mar. 27, 2003). After some mishaps that set me back 10 minutes (and Nynaeve looking for crash space since , which I was able to ask other friend. On the return, ran into Nyn again and they had already found crash space before I was able to try plan B (well, plan A really, which was to ask my roommates if it was allright).
I WAS supposed to meet up with Rozzie, Valden, Net, Bree, Humble, and others at 7:15 in the lobby of the hotel (well, one of the towers), but was running about 10-15 min late, so was just goin' to meet them at Olde Spaghetti Factory. Had to stop by room to grab something first, though. On way there, bumped into two more party go-ers, Bob and Fahr. Who said they were late, though we both arrived about 3 minutes before our table was ready, go fig.

Right After the drink orders were taken, I asked net to go and give Rozzie her present. A few days before, Net asked me "Does Rozga like Creepers" from minecraft. My response: "Dear god Yes".
And so, in a plain brown box, he had placed his gift, a paper cardstock creeper (folded boxlike), and a few minecraft blocks of various skins. He sneaked over, next to her, she was totally looking the other way talking with whomever was seated over on her left, Valden or Fahr, and went "Tsssssssssssss"
She SQUEALED and leaped up in fright, and Net spilled out the contents of the first box. She then SQUEALED again in joy "Oh My God! I have a CREEPER!"
Priceless :)
Drinks were served a minute later, good thing Net did it then and not when there were fragile items on the table that could make a mess :)

Great time was had by all, we spent a coupla hours there, Banner was there but Jurell had to watch dog (they flip-flopped from last year). Our Waitress had a great time with us, might have a converted someone to furry there, she was a self-proclaimed nerd, methinks, so we went on from there. Anyhow, I had to point her to start at Rozzie's end of the table since she's the birthday girl (which waitress got big grin, saying oh boy, it's time to embarrass her!).
I got my usual (Jumbo Crab Ravioli in pesto green sauce, and a side of shrimp crostini's), plus the italian sodas, which are always fun to get because you get to have a souvenir high ball glass at the end. Of course, Milk is always free with the meal, which is AWESOME. That and a scoop of spamoni or vanilla, which unfortunately we couldn't hide from a Rozzie, since waitress had to take everyone's order first. But Rozzie was totally into it, and all the customers sang a birthday song (of course, multiple birthdays stayed that late, too.
Got back up to room, completely full, but I think I managed to get some Corey time out there on thurs? crashed around 12:30.
