Hello again! What a beautiful new view to have! I hope that you are far away from the areas of Somerset beset by flooding and continue to enjoy exploring your new environment.
Also enjoying the Shetland series here, although I have trouble catching those soft Scottish accents - and myself a Scot! Ridiculous. Looking forward to the return of Endeavour soon too. Young Morse is much more watchable than middle-aged Lewis. :-))
I've never seen Endeavour must catch up with it some time. Well away from floods though we may be buggered if there is ever a second Somerset Tsunami! Apart from the accents Shetland is very dark, isn't it? Which is silly as last week's episode was supposed to be Midsummer.
Endeavour is really very, very good. Shaun Evans somehow captures the feel of John Thaw's Morse - and there is the added benefit of Roger Allam also being involved. :-)
Last week's Shetland wasn't as dark as it should have been. The original novel Raven Black by Ann Cleeves was actually set in midwinter around the Lerwick new year festival of Up Helly Aa. I suppose there wouldn't be enough hours of daylight to film much up there at that time of year though...
Hopefully never a second Somerset Tsunami. :-) Mr T and I are at the time of life to be pondering where we might head when he retires. If we move at all I suspect that we would go north rather than south - not as far as Shetland however!
The view is fantastic! But it's a shame about your job at the cinema. :)
Well, Alan Rickman is still around, and so are we. Maybe one day fandom will be rekindled. At least, I still hope that we get to see him in a few good films.
Hope you're enjoying life up there on the Somerset coast? You're close to where we were for 8 years and it was a nice 8 years I must say. Beautiful area.
Another Shetland fan here of course. I've only read 2 of the books so the present episodes and next week's are completely new to me. Which is brilliant. I shall be buying the dvds when they come out too.
I also recommend Endeavour... beautifully made and excellent plots. Didn't realise there was a new series due. :-)
No, never too much Sherlock! I am completely envious of your view - how beautiful. And the Rickman days were so much fun. We're still around for the most part, just scattered.
