Glad you are still enjoying the perks of relocation. Could do with a cool, calming vista to contemplate myself amidst the ongoing anxiety of moving kids on to their next phase of life. Have a couple of theatre tickets for the autumn, so should really try to post about them in due course. Meanwhile if daughter secures accommodation in London, which she needs for her postgrad starting early September, you'll hear my cheers even down in the West Country! At the moment it's fingers crossed for cheap flat rental for two in Finchley... I'm afraid I'm absolutely clueless when it comes to customising or coding this or any other blog space though. Hope somebody else can help!

Yes, Hamlet in October - though not sure how much I'm actually going to see and hear from my 'cheap' seat way up in the top balcony in such a large auditorium. May wish I'd just waited for a local NT Live screening...

Also October, Mark Rylance's West end transfer of Farinelli and the King, and before that, in early September, Bakkhai (Ben Whishaw and Bertie Carvel) at the Almeida. Have wanted to see something at the Almeida for a long time, so although I lost an entire day raging at their crashing online booking system, was eventually rewarded by securing a £10 ticket. No pain, no gain. :-)

I might be going back to my old workplace to visit and see Hamlet on the big screen.
Enjoy the Rylance play. I loved it and will be interested to see how it transfers from the intimate Wanamaker space to a large theatre.

I tend to read my lj in mobile format (faster loading) so I don't see the images and haven't noticed any changes to the journals.

I have noted many friends have drifted off and it's sad, but I wish them well in their endeavours.

Nice to see someone post even if it's a bit wistful. Hope you and yours are doing well.

Yes, I noticed today when I went to post on my bookblog that the header I use to log in and out has gone. Now I have to fiddle about on my profile page. I suppose this is meant to be an improvement. I have no clue if it's possible to get it back I'm afraid.
