Hi there. I still check in from time to time but have largely given up posting because if I try to write anything it always turns into a rant about Brexit. I have never felt so militant ( ... )

Thanks, always nice to see you about. It certainly has been a year of shocks all round hasn't it?

Hello!
Ah yes, that was when I had my carpal tunnel surgery and went to Hampstead to see Snowcake. Just looked it up and it was ten years ago! Where does the time go?
Sorry to hear of your losses. I do remember the name Jan.
Another dear friend, Magda from Suzanne and Claudia's pages is very ill with a brain tumour. We had many happy times online and met up for Private Lives and the Manchester concert.
Hope you are well on the mend from your health problems.
Best wishes.

The Manchester concert was that one called 'Music from the movies' with composer Patrick Doyle?
I remember that one. Through the reports of the attendants, of course. (That's my way of travelling.) Derek Jacobi did a splendid performance/lecture but was so nervous that kept spitting at random. LOL! There were the spanish girls, Ana and Marta, too. Sounds weird to have so many memories shared by people you've never met in real life. Though I think the so called 'real life' includes this one too. Especially if it involves your kind of people: fun, loving and caring, sharing same interests.
Thanks, keep going and be happy!

The Manchester one was a premiere of a piece of music and narration based on The Ground Beneath Her Feet by Salman Rushdie in 2007.
The Patrick Doyle thing was at the Royal Albert Hall the same year. That was amazing and you are right Derek Jacobi was very "spitty" as was Kenneth Branagh! And my pal Row got given a grape by Emma Thompson as we were sitting in the front row. That was definitely a night to remember. We all shared so much online in those days.
