Replying to Sharon

I don't fucking know anymore. This would be so much easier if I could split myself into two and have one go to spend the Summer with you kids and Samantha and the other half could learn Mandarin in Taiwan...but that shit won't happen so I need to figure out what the fuck is going on anymore.

I know the reply is to Sharii, but here's my two cents.

Go to Taiwan on your own. The actitivies we did in school (like the learning about acupunture and other things) are arranged by NTNU, not Smith, and usually after class was over you would hear an announcement that said, "Good morning students. Would you like to learn about/participate in ____? At __ time in ___ room today/tomorrow etc etc" you get the point. You can do it ALL on your own. It's not like the Shanghai trip where we get let into special places the general public isn't allowed to go to. You can also enroll in NTNU itself, which is a LOT cheaper than through GVSU.

... if you can... go to the first six weeks like you did before the first time in Shanghai... then go to Taiwan the second part? It should work... maybe... I'm hoping. Might have to check the overlap between the programs. If that doesn't work considering... certain situations and how they might play out...

Here's what you do.

Flip a coin. Srsly. Or something else probability related. You are totally screwed either way, so you need to pick your poison. There CAN be an extension on the Shanghai program, so you shouldn't have to worry about getting your shit in on that. With Taiwan...not so sure since Smith already has 17 people to take care of on his trip; which will be a lot but a suitable number for the grand finale that is Taiwan.

... not very optimistic response but... well. zenmeban? E_x;
