I'm sure most of us are aware of the recent hardships felt by investors due to the direction of the current economy. I can't say how many reports of psychotic behavior I have encountered lately dealing with people who have lost most or all of what they invested. I am sick to death of it ( Read more... )

My dad is a big fan of the Motley Fool and always talked my ear off about how playing the stock market is important. I won't even buy a $1 lottery ticket, why the hell would I put thousands of dollars into a pipe dream? For every person that gets lucky and becomes wealthy, there are a hundred more trying to pick up the pieces.

I'm probably one of the most selfish, materialistic and egocentric people
I know, but even I understand that if you try to have everything at once, you won't have it for very long.

P.S. How's that CHI?! Mine broke and I had to go a whole six hours before I could buy a new one :( At least now I have a black one. Be nice to yours and don't drop it constantly..

OMG ITS FUCKING AMAZING!!!

Im glad you got a black one, they are so sleek and matte :) And I can go like 3 days before my hair looks even remotely greasy now whereas before it was more like 3 hours. They are love and you are so awesome for introducing me to the secks that is CHI.

And yeah, you're not one of the people I was talking about in this entry, and that's why I respect you. Plus you know the difference between there, their, and they're.

I couldn't agree more. I take investments as money you could as well throw away, and I don't have THAT much money. I also know a couple of people who lived without any income for a year or more, and did much better than me. I wrote a post like that some months ago, although I guess you don't understand Russian.

I found twenty bucks on the ground once when I was fifteen....that was the best dinner at Mcdonalds I've ever had.
