Car Problems.

My awesome husband is trying to replace the steering wheel on my 2004 Hyundai Elantra. We're running into a problem, the manual is unclear as to how to disconnect the airbag connection. Obviously, we want to be cautious. We have both googled to find an answer and failed. Any tips?

Take it to the dealer to be disengaged.

Yes, take it to someone authorized. Airbags aren't for the do it yourself crowd. Oil changes... filter changes... sure. Airbags... umm... do you really want to put your life at risk to save a buck?

I haven't taken the wheel off of a Hyundai, but I've done it on other cars. Let's have a pic of what you're seeing, please?

And it's really unlikely that you're going to discharge the airbag while doing this. Just to be safe, though, you should disconnect the battery.
