Cross the Line
Moving backward step by step
Too blind to see the parallels running through our hate
A natural law is claimed, simple and true by His words,
Though he taught love, not hate.
To use His teachings to spread hate is to make a mockery of Him.
What happened to the great line crossed in progress?
It’s been crossed once more, moving back into twisted logic and bigotry again.
Walking backward they are blind by their faith and hate.
No different is it when the Japanese were put in camps,
No different is it when Blacks could not go to the same schools as Whites,
No different is it when Women could not vote.
It is the separation of progress to a hate free world,
A world free of discrimination,
A world free of the chains of faith,
A world where all are truly equal…
Is being left behind,
In favor of tradition and values…
Excuses and nothing more.
Equality is nothing but smoke and mirrors and the truth should be said…
All in America are equal if they fit the standard mold.
Those who walk backwards hold their heads high in the air,
They are superior, it is their right to make the decision of oppression…
To force their beliefs on another.
The line has been crossed, and there’s no reason to stop,
So still the line will grow fainter and fainter as those superior,
Walk backwards.
