How about a little less Browning and A LOT less Poe

Feb 16, 2006 12:51

I am so sick of people writing their own tragedies just so they can play all the parts at once and woo their audience into fabricated empathy. Really. There are real people with real problems everywhere; and you, no matter who you are or what you are going through, are a real person with real blessings. Realize that. Know that it is a part of ( Read more... )

Nice! I agree. I was actually going to say the same thing... with less eloquent words.

I'm not saying that ranting is bad- in fact, I consider myself an A-class ranter and it really helps me out to do so. I know that people need a way to release negative energy and IT IS A GOOD THING to get it out. However, I really have a problem with people who NEED to be miserable ( ... )

i'm an A-class ranter too lol XD i still kind of understand the need to be miserable thing tho... (me=seratonin imbalance)... but when it is just to make ppl feel sorry for u or manipulate them thats NOT cool... but sometimes u genuinely feel miserable and that u need to spend sometime being melancholy... i'm okay w/ choosing grief sometimes... but not for attention... sometimes i think it is okay to give up your joy... only temporarily though so u can experience and overcome the sadness... but its NOT ever cool to be WAY bitter and suck out everyone else's joy...i try to be cautious of that.... but again... understanding is key... sometimes if a person refuses to be helped its b/c they just want to be miserable... in which case i say let them.... if thats what they want let them have it...just dont let it bring u down... i know that sounds bad... a bit of social darwinism perhaps (the strongest will survive?)... but at that point what else can u do? ... nothing... again... this is all hypothetical cuz i dont know the situation... i ( ... )

ditto with Kristen. You post has a wonderful point, but what do browing and poe have to do with it? Now, elizabeth b yes she was that kind of person who refused to be happy but robbi boy has some very uplifting things. ... truth be told if you dig deep enough even lizzi has some but on the whole she was very soap opera. Poe... well i just kind of like poe, he teaches lessons in morbid ways that even sometimes reach the ultra desensatized. yay him? o.0 I'm so confused about your title, please unconfuse me?
ps. for the moment, screw spelling.

You intellectuals and your point missings... it was for effect sillies. And furthermore... not every point deserves a counterpoint. ^_^ There... now which of you bitties wants to see me? Both I hope. Sarah owes me a telephone call... and Kristen owes me a few Trigun and InuYasha mangas. I think Kara wants to read my InuYasha... and as for my Trigun... I'm just a silly and want to put my entire collection up on the shelf. ^_^
