I don't have much of a preference. I think I lean towards the shorter, because I have no chest and I don't want to draw attention to what isn't there, hehe. On the other hand, when I make necklaces, I make them anywhere in between choker length and super long. My aunt prefers VERY long necklaces that go almost to her stomach; though she is quite busty and they go maybe halfway down her stomach.

By the way, for basics, this site has the best prices out there. And I've looked! They charge you tax if you don't have a tax ID but it's a small price to pay. I've even been able to hit up one of their road shows, now THOSE are a steal!

Hmmmm, that site does look better than Fire Mountain. And I think they have a couple of things that I couldn't find in Fire Mountain! Thanks for the link.

I keep meaning to try my hand at making really long necklaces -- they look so cool! -- but my muse seems to like my little felt pendants these days, so shorter lengths it is!

Fire Mountain has good stuff too--and if you look at their bead show dates they're basically the same exact ones as Rings N Things. But sign up for FMG's email list if you haven't already...you can get some good stuff with those email sales. :)

Oh yes, I am on FMG's mailing list. Though I tend not to take advantage of it, if only because I don't need to be tempted into buying more beads than I already have!
