OMG. THAT WAS DONE, IT IS FINISHED! TEN YEARS AND WE FINALLY HAVE FLIGHTS AND TIGHTS.
Sure it was not perfect, it had great moments of WTF and out of character-ness but when it did things well, it did it really well.
I mean even the finale had its severe moments of anviliciousness but as a comics fan? I had a grin through out and when the music and the suit and the flying. And the moment on the plane... *tears*.
Of course it'll take them years to get married... oh guys.
Martha Kent and Jonathan and.... he keeps the farm! I'm sooo glad! And JIMMY The really Jimmy Olsen in the House!
And, oh, Lex. Still so in love with Clark. Hee. I just it was perfect the way he proclaimed himself an enemy and yet sending him off to save the world because he believed in Clark and the look on his face when he speeds off in front of him.
Then killing Tess because he wanted to save her.
Guys, can I talk about Tess Mercer? I believe she's one of the most fantastic characters this show has ever crafted. She could be what Lex couldn't be because Lex was constrained both by canon and his penchant to blame his faults on others.
Oh god, Tess dying and thinking she was never redeemed but at the same time making the Lex Luthor in canon happen. If what grounds Clark and what makes him good is his memories I love the symmetry of Lex forgetting that makes him fall into darkness. He has nothing now to bring him back... although I hope Clark still tries to reach out to him.
(Can I just mention House of Luthor really does love its incest-y vibes doesn't it? Lex actively encouraging Tess's romantic feelings after knowing all along that they were siblings? Yeeeeah.)
Also, the moment LuthorCorp turned into LexCorp? I squealed! But, oh, Tess.
I'm so, so glad Chloe made it, I'm so happy she's alive and happy and has her own kidlet. So in this version Black Canary and Green Arrow won't happen? I'm strangely okay with that... I do wonder if Batman is here and if Barbara is alive?
But oh man. It took 10 years but I loved every moment of Clark flying, tears in my eyes seriously. Guys, we've waited for this for so long and we have it here:
