One Month Check In

(Or shortly thereafter! Sorry, I've been without internet for a bit.)

Hello authors/participants.  We're one month into the first part of the challenge and I thought it would be a good time to have a check in.  Have you started writing just yet? If not, do you have any ideas?  I myself just started writing on one story and another popped up.  It'll ( Read more... )

*Clears throat nervously* I think I am going to have to leave you with a delightfully vague "progress is being made". And progress is being made, just not as much as I'd like, and most of it in my head rather than on paper. I have a basic outline for the story in my head; beginning, end, and lots of little middly-bit snippets.

I intend to start the actual writing/typing process later this week, either Thursday or Friday, depending on how events unfold. My goal is 1000+ words by Sunday, but hopefully once I start work it will continue to flow, and I will get more than that done. Wish me luck!

I'd be happy to get involved with a community chat kind of thing. My main concern would be time zones, though. I am Australian Easterm Standard Time here, and I have no idea where everyone else is in the world.

I wish you all the luck in the world. I'm a little stuck on mine as well (I mostly keep flip flopping on what I want to do. I need someone to talk with xD), but am hoping to have all of that taken care of by this weekend. I really hope things work out for you. Your story idea sounds great :)

As for community chat, if we do it on a weekend, there might be a possibility we could stay up to make sure you're in. If nothing else, I'm usually up at all hours of the night, so I'm available almost 24/7

If it's done on a weekend, there's a good chance that I could do the staying up...or whatever. My sleeping patterns are erratic at best, so if I know a few days in advance I can make arrangements to be on at the appropriate time.

What kind of ideas are you flip-flopping between? I know it took me forever to settle on just one. Eventually, I just asked myself which story I would be most interested in reading myself, and after that the answer seemed obvious. I'm really glad you like my story idea. Hopefully, I will be able to do it justice :)
