Oh wow! I wish I had more time to tell you about all the things I loved about this story, but in short: the opening segment and your narrative voice re: the teacups was beautiful; Albus's grief was so understated but poignant; the entire sequence at the Leaky; the burst of passion and emotion in the letters to/from Ian; and oh man, that last scene with Gellert. *sob* ! Awesome job. I didn't even know about this fest! I'm so glad I caught it on the daily-snitch. :)

You did a great job with the angle you chose to use for the story. The tea cups, the original character, the insights into Dumbledore's personality. It's heartbreaking and rings true on so many levels. But you did not lose sight of the fact that Dumbledore survives. I do find lurking beneath the surface something which JKR mentioned in interviews, I believe, that falling in love with whom he did and losing him in the way he did, Albus did suffer permanent damage. But his strong inner resources are reflected in such a way that one understands how he went on. Lovely story and has elicited such a collection of lovely artwork. I can only cross my fingers and hope that my artists will be as inspired by my story later in the week.

Thanks for sharing!

Forgot to say what a great ending it is. I have to be an eternal optimist and believe that Gellert did fall in love as well. For some reason that is very important to me.

*sigh* I loved this. Just lovely the way that you describe emotions. And a good insert of an OC, poor Ian :(

Even though Gellert is the biggest asshole on the planet. :|
