Let's look at the old way: Generic Smartphone (2yr contract) : $4900

Pod Nano 8G : $19900

Nintendo DS Lite : $13000

Pocket Rave Strobe : $600

Portable Sampler/Sequencer : $49900

Total: $88300 (+ $3900 for a backpack to carry all the shit ;)

Now the iPhone: iPhone 3G 8GB (2yr contract) : $19900

does that mean your old one is available for a deep discount? :D

and not wanting to create a huge audio-production discussion, but tools like that just dont work for me-
remind me to lend you one of my electribes on of these days- maybe you'll feel the difference-
to me, it's kinda like a real girl and what i imagine a real doll to be like- i'm sure you can understand that- there's just a level of interaction and feeling that's just not there with the substitute-
more knobs to turn and buttons to push or something :P

actually, it isn't... i still have my 1st-gen 16giger, but it's price-point wasn't as good for demonstration purposes ;) hrm... at $519, it still wins !

re: real vs fake - indubitably - but it's a little tough whip the real deal out of your pocket while standing in line at Trader Joes =p
