THE CLOSE
These will be few--and the only ones Grift trusts enough to show a glimpse of his true colours or any of his inhuman abilities.
Chapel (sixthsinner: Grift doesn't even remember the whys or the hows of them becoming such good friends, but somehow, it's happened. Chapel puts up with his love for guns, all of his bullshit and they simply make a good pair. He appreciates the fact that Chapel is flippant about his status as a holy man, yet some part of Grift believes that bits of it are serious which do nothing if not bolster their relationship. Grift admires how Chapel manages to maintain both his attitude and liking for sin while remaining an all around good guy. BEST FRIENDS FOREVER.

THE LIKED
This means that he likes you and will look out for you if it doesn't put himself in too much danger. These are the people he likes to talk to.
Kagerou (Lj user="weaver_girl">): Oh, Kagerou. She's disarmingly sweet, and completely earnest and has totally endeared Grift to her. Grift is not the type to like nice people because they're nice, nor is he easily charmed by young girls but somehow Kagerou's the exception. She was friends with Smoke, and he'd like to protect her while she works for him.
PING: Kara, his favorite among 13.
Nikki (dont_leave_town): She's hot. She uses a gun. She has wit. She's older than her early twenties. She's good to talk to. She brought him chicken noodle soup. What else is there to say? Grift is very fond of the woman, and finds himself surprisingly honest in her presence which has everything to do with how familiar speaking with her feels.

Gene (live_ringer): Ah, Gene. He's always liked the guy, but has found himself getting closer to him after he woke up in his bed. Gene seems pretty laid back, and he's a great shooter. He's also fun to banter with. In other words, it's the perfect relationship for Grift--not too close so that he's too attached, but not so distant that they can't be friends.

Lea (seeya_next_life): Ooh, it's a former snake tongued rascal here. Lea is fun to talk to, but Grift can tell that he's got a bit of a wicked streak, and he likes that. In a world full of goody-goodies he likes showing a bit of his sneaky side to Lea and thinks that they have a mutually beneficial relationship. Finally somebody else who he can cheat with!

NEUTRAL
Basically, you exist.
Prince (all_blue_prince): He's a good cook, and entertaining over the journals. There's no reason for him to particularly like him or dislike him.
PING: Slightly for Jude
Sylvar (cathar_jedi): She saw him when he was half-naked and extremely vulnerable, which is something he despises. He hates expressing fear, and that's definitely what he was expressing at that point in time. Nonetheless, she saved him and was nice about it, if not a bit stiff. Sylvar intrigues him, as the quiet ones generally do.

Very few should be on this list--if you are, Grift will be tempted to shoot you.
Ambassador (proud_ambassador): Ambassador is funny, and fun to tease despite his wacky appearance. Despite this, Grift harbours a mild dislike for the man simply for his stiff demeanor and the way he flirted with Kagerou. He's cautious of him but is not yet prepared to write him off entirely.
EDIT: Broke into his bar and mocked him after his best friend disappeared. He hates his guts.
