Between finals melting my brain, I have been working on Cerulean. I've chipped away on a few other things but I've been trying to focus on Cer. So far the next chapter is long, 4,100 words, and I'm still writing it. I hope LJ doesn't freak out when I do finish that chapter to post. I don't like splitting it. Anyone have an idea of why it would be

Not sure, but LJ made me split an ITA update in half last week, it wouldn't let me post, saying it was too long.
I didn't even think the post was that big.
I think it counts all the characters in the HTML coding. So "hello" would normally count as 7 characters but with the coding it can get bumped up to 11 characters.
That's why I switched to wordpress for my TW fic. No word limit.

Ohhh that makes sense. Okay with the next one I'll paste it into typepad and then LJ so hopefully it won't copy formatting and freak out that the chapter is so large when it really isn't. I never thought of that!

That might work but I'm only using text edit, LJ adds its own coding. Hitting the enter button is 4 or 5 characters when you look in the HTML coding and "I'm" was something like 8 characters long. I gave up in the end.

Okies, I'll see what it lets me do. I know you CAN post long entries but it seems to be fussy about letting me actually do it.

Good luck with them! We break up on Friday but I've got exams in January, so I'll be revising for them.
