Saw the neurosurgeon on Tuesday; he prety much confirmed what the neurologist said. The cyst is nothing to worry about; it can't be what's causing Amy's seizures and unless it's growing, going in to remove it would be more dangerous than just leaving it be ( Read more... )

We went to see a neurologist yesterday to discuss the results of my wife's MRI. We still don't know much, but it seems she has a cyst of some kind in her brain. The doctor was careful to call it a "cyst" and not a "tumor," so I guess that's a good thing. This morning, my son woke up with his voice gone. He's been sick with a cold for a few days (and we learned yesterday he also has an ear infection) and he's been coughing a lot. Saturday I got up bright and early and drove about 60 miles to Ellicott City, Maryland, where I met up with a group of guys I didn't know from Adam to play a game I haven't touched in almost three years.
